We would like to thank all our bidders we are excited to work with you this year and you will notice we still have a couple left for sale please contact Katie at 317-363-9034 with questions on her SimSolution Heifer or her Simmental steer — we also have a Primo Steer still for sale.
Lot 1 – BFAC Bailey 2001 – SOLD
Seldom Rest BRMF Clover 925 x Colburn Primo
Our lot 1 heifer this year is one we’re pretty proud of. Her flush mate sister was Reserve Champion Angus Heifer at the Putnam County Fair this summer. The same heifer won her class at the Indiana Angus Preview Show and was second in her class at Hoosier Beef Congress. Her dam won her class at Hoosier Beef Congress and was 3rd in her May class at the National Western Stock Show. Lot 1 is a February born heifer that we think will be really competitive this season.
Lot 2- BFAC Bailey 2003 – SOLD
Seldom Rest BRMF Clover 925 x Colburn Primo
Lot 1 and 2 are a flush mate duo we decided to lead the sale off with this year. Coming from the same competitive family, Lot 2 is a March born heifer calf that we see a lot of potential in. Much like her full sib in lot 1 this heifer is built elegant, she’s clean fronted, big boned, and big ribbed.
Lot 3- BFAC Bailey 2004 – SOLD
Seldom Rest BRMF Clover 925 x Silveras GQ
Lot 3 is a GQ heifer is from the same donor as lot 1 and 2. She is a flush mate to the 1904 heifer from last year’s open house. The 1904 heifer that Trent Austin showed last year had a really successful summer. This female was second in her competitive class at the Indiana State Angus Preview Show and went on to be Third Overall Heifer at the Hendricks County Fair. We believe lot 3 can be successful for a showman this year.
Lot 4- BFAC Lucy 2002 – SOLD
Lot 4 is a heifer out of Seldom Rest BRMF Lucy 881, who is out of Dameron Lucy 868. Dameron Lucy 868 was the 2010 Reserve Grand Champion Owned Cow/Calf Pair at the National Junior Angus Show and has been an iconic donor in the Angus breed. Lot 4 is a heifer we think would be well suited for a younger showman as she possesses a docile demeanor. Lot 4 is out of PVF Insight who has been a successful sire in the Angus breed with countless Champions under his belt.
Lot 5- BFAC GQ 2070 – SOLD
EXAR Rita 2438 x Silveras GQ
If you’re in the market for a really competitive Angus steer, we believe he is here in Lot 5. BFAC GQ is a son of EXAR Rita 2438 sired by Dameron First Class. This steer is wide topped, big hipped, and moderate framed. We believe he will be able to have loads of product and performance without being a huge framed, more traditional Angus steer.
Lot 7- KMB Queen 283H
EXAR Queen 838 x Loaded Up
Lot 7 starts off our Simmental division of the sale. She is a half-blood that we think will be really successful this fall. She is deep bodied and big ribbed, while still being really clean fronted and feminine. EXAR Queen 838 has raised a lot of successful Angus heifers for us, raising several breed champions at the Hendricks County Fair and the 2012 Reserve Grand Champion Female at the Hendricks County Fair. This cow is extremely maternal and is proving her longevity every day. Loaded Up speaks for himself in terms of success.
Lot 8- KMB Joseph 238H – SOLD
EXAR Rita 2438 x Loaded Up
This baldy steer is sired by the legendary Loaded Up and his maternal grandsire is Dameron First Class. He has the genetics to be really successful in the showring. This steer is big topped, big hipped and stands on a really powerful foot and leg. I might just be partial to him for his extra color, but I think “Joseph” could offer a really fun summer for a showman.
Lot 9- KMB Maverick 239H
Seldom Rest Northern Miss 7039 x CSCX Bandwagon
Lot 9 is sired by CSCX Bandwagon who also sired the Supreme Champion Female at the Badger Kick-Off Classic and the Supreme Champion Female at the 2018 Minnesota State Fair. “Maverick” is a maternal sibling to the 2020 Reserve Champion Simmental steer at the Hendricks County Fair. This steer is unbelievably structurally sound steer that can travel well, while still having a lot of expression in his muscle pattern.
